That printable view is important because it can show a specific Release Date field, along with the booking number, date of birth, holding jail, ID process status, and total bail amount.
Local rule: Kern does not provide a located public 24-hour release feed. KCSO's Arrest Records page says arrest information is public when the person is currently in custody or when the release date is within the past 60 days. Treat that as a public-information window, not as a guaranteed online archive.
For a same-day question, the release may be real even if the public page has not settled yet. KCSO's Inmate Information page carries a data-accuracy notice about recent system changes and partner-agency updates, and it points users to the Kern Court portal for the most current court-related results. How to Check Today's Releases

- If you need a notice before the person leaves, register through California VINE. VINE is a custody-status notification layer, not a permanent release archive.

This same sequence avoids the most common same-day mistake: assuming that a bail posting, court minute, or family notice means the person has physically exited the facility. Lerdo Release Timing
Kern's local timing rules explain why a 24-hour release check may need more than one look. KCSO says time-served inmates generally release between 8:00 AM and midnight, and inmates released at court are released before midnight on the scheduled release date. A bail release can take up to eight hours. Processing lag: Posting bail, receiving a court order, or reaching time served can start the process. It does not mean the person immediately walks out, and it does not mean every public system updates at the same time.

If the person was transferred instead of released to the community, follow the receiving system. A CDCR transfer belongs in CIRIS and CDCR case records. KCSO advertises a sheriff mobile application from its homepage, but the research did not confirm an app-only release list or app-only same-day release feed. If the app displays jail information, treat it as another interface to inspect, not as a substitute for the KCSO roster, printable release-date field, Arrest Records page, court portal, VINE, or CPRA path.
That source priority is what keeps the same-day search grounded: sheriff custody data first, court action second, notification history third, and records requests when public online information is incomplete.
